These guys have no idea. I can remember very well taking money out of our small savings account to buy hamburger back when I was a young father. There was a couple in front of us at the checkout with two carts, one filled with steak and the other with beer. They paid for the steak with food stamps. Those must be the ones he's talking about. Modest means indeed!

Little Joe--if you think the richest 2% of people in this country are folks of "modest means," then you've got a very unusual definition in my book... But relax, the Democrats are going to raise the exemption to $4 million, assuming that the lapdogs for the VERY rich don't get their way in Congress and eliminate the tax completely (thus forcing everyone else in the country to make up the difference--now there's a GREAT idea), so I don't think too many of your "modest means" folks are gonna be too egregiously affected....
