The word I hear from my well connected democratic friends is $4 M plus primary residence. This will sure help the high end real estate market.

I could live with that.

But I don't count on it happening. Politics is a strange animal. The charities and insurance companies have yet to weigh in. Also, if the economy slows and receipts are down the whole fiscal picture could change. I really think they should hold off on the estate tax reduction if that occurs.
