The current fantasy portfolio is sponsored by CBSMarketWatch- the survivor. Usually I play the yahoo.com monthly. Rather than trade to win, I usually pick what I think are the best ideas, buy and hold for the duration of the contest.

I didn't enter the SI contest.

This scenario has troubling implications for corporate earnings in 2001. "Normally we go into a recession after a period where pricing power has been strong," Paulsen said. Not this time. On Friday, the report on producer prices showed raw goods, excluding food and energy, actually fell in price by 7.4 percent, year over year. While energy prices have spiked, companies cannot pass the price increases on. "This will put a unique pressure on profits," Paulsen said. "It's a tough place to be."
