flap, I'll give you eight years of Clinton/Gore prosperity if you grant that much of it came from the Republican Congress elected in '94. If you map the economy from '92-'00, you will see that GDP was flat from '92-'94, then the Republicans took over, passed some tax cuts, and the economy took off. The current troubles are just blowing off steam from the speculative period caused by the Internet (something AlGore invented). -John

Lummox, the economy would have done better w/o Clinton-Gore. Their policy of raising tax rates and increasing regulation cannot have improved matters any. They came in with a superb economy - strong and growing, unemployment receding - and left with a recession and stagflation and unemployment growing. Maybe you should go back and get your GED. Being old, fat and stupid is no way for you to continue. Though that does make you the prototypical union stooge.
