Well it just kinda happened. <ng> The TSE 300 is market cap weighted and NT went so friggin high that it became 30% of the index at one point. Mutual funds were "forced" to heavily weight it so everyone and their grandma was in it. Pension funds hopped on too. Most people don't realize how much NT they actually own. Disaster waiting to happen. The real culprit is the foreign content limitations on our RRSP (401k equivalent). We're forced by law to have 70% of our retirement savings in domestic vehicles. More socialist crap. At least we have a wide selection of golds and energy plays up here or i don't know what the hell I'd be buying.
