Shorting IPO's is not illegal. One of the great myths that seems to persist.

My experience is that after 3 days or so, the time it takes to clear to first days trades, these shares SOMETIMES become available.

Have gotten a borrow many times under those conditions. At Suretrade if you'd like a real name.

Those claiming to short day 1, well, that's another matter.
