It would be interesting to hear Kasriel's update in the wake of the inflationary PPI numbers just released. Greenspan would seem to have limited flexibility to lower rates further. Simply not lowering rates may not be enough, though: further aggressive credit expansion by the GSEs, as explained by Noland, may be the source of inflationary pressures. prudentbear.com
