FWIW: This was also confirmed to me by Mr Aspinall, that Sundiro has produced and marketed 500 OE equipped bikes in Shanghai for training and shakedown purposes. He did not say that the 500 have been sold. I understood that to mean that large scale production will follow assuming the first 500 work out OK, but there is no telling what Honda will have to say about that, if anything. He also told me that OE management felt very bad that some of their earlier announcements (e.g., Mercedes) that production deals had been finalized did not pan out, and that OE will be very conservative in the future with their announcements. I hope that this does not get them into trouble by withholding material information.

Q39: I do not understand your statement that "Sundiro is fine"? I am aware that sundiro has said to Desmonds enquiry that they have a test of 500 currently. My concern is what is the current situation with the Sundiro/Honda JV. I did not contact Roberta - I believe that was Thomas Thorp.
Not to down play the Delphi deal, which i believe is great, the Shares Magazine piece I thought had too much speculation. The Delphi deal has the potential to be HUGE ( a Maverick term ) and I am prepared to wait for some positive news on this front.
As you are aware I posted a message on the Sunshine Board, it is not my intention to post there again as I respect the Cheerleaders right to a Rah Rah campus without reality monitors. I posted the message in response to Ralph's statement that OE's management is smarter than I claim. I just asked for anyone to give me an example - and as you can see there were no takers. MOOG DE said that OE management had done wonders for shareholder value because of the recent share price increase - he apparently has not considered that fact that we currently trade at the same price we traded at six years ago.
We are down again in OZ tonight at A$1.70 - we will show weakness until we get through the earnings report.
I concur that the present share price does not reflect any auto deal. The Aprilia business is looking good and the fact that they may have a 4S DITECH is super - it sort of puts Honda/Sundiro on something of a hot seat. Honda is not usually challenged on the technology aspect of their business.
Sorry that you had a bad day on Friday, I was down also - though not as bad as the market as the majority of my holdings are in old business types that make money. I believe that we will recover later this year - however now is a time for caution.
BTW do you have a target bottom for OE, taking into account the forecasted loss for the six months? I believe we could dip into the mid $6.00 range if there is nothing positive to offset the earnings report.
