"management failures can be changed"
Of course they can - get new management!

"Billy Bowden"
This is immature of me but how many people older than 13 call themselves "Billy" instead of Bill?

"You don't like MCOM because it has a low price and has not performed. Yet you are in love with the wireless dream that is no closer to being here than when it was hyped 2 years ago."
Ummm, I don't dislike MCOM as a company only as an investment and I dislike it as an investment because it has been mismanaged and may file for chapter 11 protection this summer if they don't get hundreds of millions of dollars injected into the company. It is my opinion that nobody will "loan" them money (that would be stupid) and the only way they get new money is by issuing an incredible amount of new shares, diluting everybody that currently owns the equity. I am not in love with any wireless dream but I don't like the denials about the future competition that Metricom WILL face. It seems dishonest. And finally, it would be better if after multiple YEARS (check how long Metricom has been around) the company had more subscribers and revenue. How can the numbers be so small with all the money that has been spent??

"huge costs"
Check how much Sprint will spend on 1XRTT. It is not much. "Huge" costs are relative. Costs are justified by revenue. In Metricom's case, since it has almost zero revenue, I'm not sure how wise some of their spending has been. Didn't somebody tell me that Metricom even had some television advertising during the last quarter? I can't imagine what the return on that expense was!

"anything new"
Is there anything "new" to be said about Metricom either pro or con? Maybe not, but you keep posting anyway.

I also wish you a nice weekend.
