ecommerceman,

No comments from you yet - but the tone in your other messages is crystal clear: "Tax everybody according to their ability to be squeezed. By the way, I'm exempt but uniquely qualified to comment on how the proceeds from your tax bill should be distributed."

Edit- concurrent posting, apparently. No comment on the neo-statehood of DC because I have no opinion one way or another. Nothing selective about it, I just don't give a shit.

Regards "sloganeering": Is that a word? Is it valid to apply it here, or simply more profiling.

"Well, my only comment is that estate taxes WILL be coming from the pockets of the 120 millionaires who signed ..." So what? I'm concerned about the pockets of people like me, not them - there's a whole lot more of us out here. By the way, you're out of touch - the average family farm is worth much much more than $675K. Figure land prices around $2000/acre for good arable land, and add at leat $100K for equipment and infrastructure, minimum.

IF that's the case <<only 2% of the people who die pay estate taxes>> that makes it OK? Politicians always love it when a few people pay a lot or a lot of people pay a little. It's safer that way.
