It's late and I am embarrassed to be home on a Saturday night, but I can not let this go.

The man comes here and tells us he is not doing so well in the market, but no matter, he has a long-term view. That we can argue with, or perhaps, it even inspires a taunt. But to make fun or trivialize a person's sobriety is just cruel. I have little doubt that you are young. May you not have to face a demon as mean as that one.

No, I am not an alcoholic or a reformed alcoholic. Nor am I addicted to anything other than cigarettes, and that's bad enough. I only think it the most basic decency to respect someone who is overcoming such a thing.

Think. Cheers. Allan.

Post:

Why not ease up a bit. We have all experienced the bitterness of market losses and that is bad enough without folks rubbing it in. Venkie at least tries to contribute ideas. The too frequent self ego massaging that some on this thread indulge in via talking down to others is tiring and wears poorly. Let's have your market-related thoughts instead.

Best, Earlie

I wasn't going to reply to the 20 post I got but since your a knucklehead...here ya go
Even with the paper loss's I hv ..I am still sitting fat on the hog...fat..
Started out with 12 k in the early 90's...still have 750k value so if I sold everything tomorrow what hv I lost by believing in my choice's..It's rude of me to use numbers on a public board. It's folks like you and a couple of other folks on this thread that create more than a bearish group of nice folks. Let's don't forget my mutual funds and 401 k plan or the 3600 sq ft 1 yr old house on Lake travis..waterfont..My 2001 porsche..6 figure job plus bonus's...Now you tell me why I would want you to feel sorry for me<gg<. The way this thread is beside themselves gives me hope that things are better than I thought...
Here's the kicker...
Sunday morning...beautiful day..my 6 yr old grandson is on the deck playing with the telescope..the 1 yr old is in him swing pointing at the ceiling...my wife is laying on the floor talking about getting the new bmw 330i this wk...I hv gotten 20 ph calls from friedns with congrats me on my clean date..8 private post from s& I folks with congrats ..never even met them ..that includes a few from this thread..You don't really believe everyone on this thread is a jerk..do ya<gg>
So b4 you feel sorry for me..1st u need to worry about covering your 100 shs of whatever tech stock ur short. I hv to say that the bulls/clowns on the porch hv much larger numbers of just plain ole nice people...maybe that's why I hang there.. There are some nice folks here but the jerks seem to out weigh the thread... You go own and feel sorry for yourself as I am going to wave at my neighbor sitting on his 2 million dollar house front porch...very nice Morgan Stanley Bigshot...As They say on this thread...ho ho ho ..as I say...ha ha ha yhooooooooo. I just couldn't resist giving you a few reasons to feel sorry for me<gg<
