Thanks for the reply Jon, and for pointing out my poor choice of words. I do understand the difference between tick data and 5-minute bar charts. That’s what I get for rushing through my typing.

The rest of your post was also very helpful. Wow, what an education! Thank you for taking the time to craft such a detailed reply. What do you do with the pre-market information you glean from your adaptation of Townsend’s charts?
