I did nothing wrong; yet it was my word against someone else's. Bush did drink to excess and did DUI.....big difference in my estimation.<<<<<<< And it is GW's word that he has stopped drinking for 15 yrs; that he has completed the AA program; and that he won't take even one drink during his presidency. And all of GW's friends and the reporters on his beat agree that they haven't seen him take a drink. Why are you saying your word is better than that of GW and his friends and all of the reporters covering his beat. What I was saying is that people when properly motivated can deceive their family and friends. An addiction can be that proper motivation. <<<<<<<<<< True, but anyone with a smidgen of trust would take a man on his word, give him the benefit of the doubt, until proven otherwise. You had an even bigger motivation to lie than GW. You expected your friends to believe you, why are you unwilling to extend that courtesy to GW; and if you don't believe GW, why not his friends and the reporters? If you personally don't believe anyone else, why would they believe you? So what I was suggesting is that that issue might have been something the American voters should have been able to consider in an appropriate forum when making their decision for whom to vote.<<<<<< You knew, the reporters knew. If it would have been important, you can bet the reporters would have made a bigger issue of it. Here is a post by you in Sept 2000Message 14442688 <<<<<<<<<<BTW have you checked Bush's transcripts from hi school and college. What was his major....partying? That's the rumor in any case.<<<<<<< If you felt so strongly about this, why not check into those rumors. There are only about 20,000 anti Bush sites on the internet. Within a day you could have found out and alerted the rest of us about this; if you really believe what you are saying.
