Zeev, I tend to agree with your scenario. I would be inclined to think the trading range may be narrower than you suggest, but that is not important. The key is that it will be a horizontal trading range.

As another thought, a friend mentioned to me last week that human nature does not change very much. He uses this reason to predict a bubble deflation similar to the others that are in vogue these days to compare ( e.g., 1929, Japan, etc.). My response to him was that human nature has not changed, and behavior patterns are still pretty much the same, but things happen much quicker today. The amount of information and the speed at which it is transmitted creates a true paradigm shift. It is difficult to see how it might play out. Your scenario, which is sort of in-between the extremes seems to have a higher probability of success. BWTHDIK<ggg>.
