Left Coaster: Thank you very much for your expression of sympathy at the loss of my friend.

Yes, SA is being destroyed in the name of democracy and "non-racialism". There isn't a day which passes when one doesn't have to address the issue over and over. Unfortunately, to leave is not simple especially if one is no longer young. I suppose the truth is one doesn't want to pay the price (to leave) of breaking up the family, seriously downgrading one's standard of living and not having any friends. Yet, I suppose if one stays that is what will happen, anyway.

I have no doubt that the apparent inability/reluctance of the government to address the crime issue is part of its strategy to get rid of whites (in order to substitute blacks) and so change the economic demography. Unfortunately for everyone the economy is contracting all the time and, although they are able to find jobs for a few blacks, more and more people are becoming unemployed.

I can certainly appreciate your reluctance to invest in SA. In fact, most South Africans don't want to invest in SA, either. That is why the SA All Share Index (ALSI40) is dominated by companies which are no longer domiciled in SA eg AngloAmerican, DeBeers, Richemont, Billiton, Old Mutual, Didata, SAPPI etc. And, it is also why the SA rand keeps falling at a faster and faster rate.
