what a trip! There's a group of old warbird collectors that live and keep their planes here locally at a private airstrip called Eagle's Nest. I remember 1 D-day anniversary, I was sitting on the beach, and off in the distance, I saw a bunch of planes heading my way. They were in formation.......as they got closer, I saw that they were B17s and B25s(i think) with a group of P51 Mustangs, P47 thunderbolts and F4 Corsairs. It looked like a scene right out of the movies, and they were on a bombing mission. but what a rush in real life! I'll bet......your lucky to be able to experience a piece of history like that. :0) Ramblin
