Barnabus,

Thank you. I applaud your resolution to your vow of marriage and how it has endured. Of course there will be flaws and both parties won't always "feel" like the marriage is so great, but that's why we make vows. So, that when the times get tough we have something to anchor us in the situation. If we go simply by our feelings, not just in marriage, but in most aspects of life then we are doomed to failure. Our feelings are deceitful and will inevitably fail us. We need to remember what that facts are and we get these by reading the Word of God. Add to the facts, our faith that "God is not a man that He can lie" so we can trust His Word. When we know the truth and we chose to believe it, then our feelings will become subservient to our knowledge and will align themselves so that they assume their proper position of adding spice and flavor to life, not controlling or dominating it. I have allowed feelings to control too much of my own thinking and behavior.

Father, let me remember what it true and real. Let my feelings assume their proper place as You designed them to occupy. Let me operate on the truth You have provided and lean not unto my own understanding but live off of every word the proceeds from Your mouth. In Jesus precious name. Amen.
