flappy

The same argument can be applied to why Gore lost. The economy stupid.

and honesty stupid

and national security stupid

and God given rights stupid

and protection of the unborn stupid

and vision stupid

and education stupid

etc etc etc

The point is... economy is only a small portion of what makes a quality president. Those with vision see conservative road as best for our nations LONG TERM future.

Those without vision, well, they live day to day, party to party, paycheck to paycheck. Then they wonder why someone who worked his/her ass off and took numerous risks gets a new Lexus this year.

The democrats in Congress sure did pull a good one on G.B. by forcing a tax increase thru that was the source of the "bad" economy that Klinton ran against. Same kind of tactic used against Reagan, but instead of increasing taxes they spent the country into outrageous debt. Both times snookering a Republican President into regretting his pledge. That's just the way the game is played and Dems are better at it than Repubs. I guess Dems have a much higher threshold of remorse or guilty conscience or whatever. I don't want to imply morality, but the Dems seem less concerned with doing the right thing than with winning every fight.

Yes, that documents that the Dem's entire 1992 campaign was a lie. Glad that Carville has lost all his big ones recently. People have wised up. He even lost in Mexico were he fought for one of the most corrupt parties in world history - the PRI - he helped them lose power after something like 90 years of stealing elections. At least Carville is a true believer, he defends and promotes corruption wherever it exists.

Clinton scandals claim another collateral victim:

Head of High-Yield Securities
At Morgan Stanley Resigns

By CHARLES GASPARINO
Staff Reporter of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

Mike Rankowitz, the head of high-yield securities for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co., has resigned following a controversy over the firm's hiring of former President Bill Clinton to speak at a recent junk-bond conference.

Mr. Rankowitz said that his resignation "has nothing to do with" the Clinton speech, which sparked angry complaints from Morgan Stanley brokerage clients and an apology from its chief executive, Phil Purcell.

Mr. Rankowitz was in charge of inviting Mr. Clinton to speak at the conference. He will be replaced by Mitch Patrick and Dan Placentra....

...the firm developed a series of "talking points" to help brokers deal with angry brokerage customers.

When that didn't work, Mr. Purcell, who had just wrested complete control of the firm from long-time Morgan President John Mack, issued an apology, saying that the selection of Mr. Clinton as a speaker was inappropriate and that the move should have been vetted by senior officials at the firm. In an interview, Mr. Rankowitz declined to comment on whether he told his supervisors that he intended to hire the former president....
