imho also. I am happy to own a company that Chambers runs. In the short term he has risked cisco stock with this "call" to greenspan. Hopefully it will pay off. I expect this is a working weekend at the fed and they are determining the size of the intermeeting rate cut. I am betting at least 3/4. The message needs to be sent that worsening conditions are not acceptable. The market and consumer psychology need a jolt. Halves are expected now like quarter pointer used to be. Hey a full point would be even better.
And those folks who lump csco with nortel, that comparison has cost you nothing but money in the past. Don't make the same mistake. No two companies are exactly alike but these two differ in products and in leadership and integrity. NT is not LU but it is not CSCO either. Cisco may go lower but anyone buying now will be happy a year or two out. Good luck. mike
