One problem with the Ameritrade Index is it doesn't offer total value and number of trades. Doesn't mean the data is entirely useless or uninteresting, but the chart may very well be comparing raisins to pineapples.

Not really. Its way too small a time frame to get a real sense of whats going on, so take that chart with a grain of salt. Furthermore from the 5th to the 12th, the charts are actually tracking pretty close.

The chart tells me that retail have been buyers over the last 2 weeks. They have been buying throughout the decline from the 5th and became net sellers for a couple of days then bought heavy on the dip on Friday.

All this is telling me is that sentiment is still likely too bullish.
