VOD is oversold like all telcos. It dominates Euro wireless and owns 45% of VZ but I would prefer to own VZ. One big reason is that VOD is expected to buy VZ wireless for a premium in cash soon and VOD already has a ton of debt. Not bad debt mind you just debt. If they don't buy VZ wireless then VZ and VOD will do a mammoth IPO once market conditions improve (hopefully soon, gg). VOD commands a much higher PE than VZ at 12 and you essentially get both by buying VZ here. In fact one reason I love VZ so much is its miniscule valuation in comparison to its Euro wireless counterparts. Wireless remains fast-growing in the US. Though that will slow a bit in a recession it's still going to do just fine going forward. People never stop talking on phones and VZ dominates in all the right US markets. Their big competition is SBC which is also a great stock to own but I prefer VZ.
