Considering the map of North America in 1847, one would conclude that the present border is an artifact of an imperialism that cannot be maintained in anything but name.

Perahps it was a good way of having the roads "paved" -ggg-

I will admit to being spooked on I-5 heading north from San Diego to Sleazeangeles and seeing a yellow-diamond warning sign with a fleeing woman with child on it.

Yes, I have seen those signs too. Also the waste in resources by the border patrol. Once they catch the illegals, all they do is drive them back to the border and place them on the "other side"... only for most of them to try it again, and again until finally many of them succeed.

Then I laugh at the assumption that the Republicans think they are getting "more votes"
