You really are an optimist.<g> Don't underestimate the duration of this "bad news" period. I think we are just getting warmed up here. Most companies have only had one or two bad quarters. Look at DELL for instance. I agree that it would appear that they are getting cheap. However, the consensus is that they they will earn .94 this year. Which gives them a forward a p/e ratio of 25. I don't think thats cheap and I don't think that they will hit .94. Dell could be halved and it would be just fairly valued. I don't think new institutional buying will show up until that happens IMHO. I'm also anticipating a lot more old economy "surprises". So far the only surprise for me is how this market hasn't imploded yet.

We certainly agree that a flush needs to come. And that bottom will provide a very real buying opportunity but I don't think it will be a long term bottom.

We are playing with a rather important trendline here. The long awaited fall may be at hand, but that stock has 9 lives thats for sure.
