RDRAM could be it. but if you look at 933 MHz Socket A, Boxed unit is $396, OEM is $306.

In last 3 days (includes 2 weekend days) they sold 4 OEM P3 933 units at $306, but they sold 490 of the boxed units for $396.

The P3 OEM offerings experience steady stream of sales (although much slower than their Athlon sales), their Boxed processor stock goes up and down sometimes 1000s of units per day.
