Paul, is this actual?

my understanding was that Brookdale DDR was going to
ship earlier than that

Intel is committed to RDRAM-only support for its own P4 chipsets, under its current licensing agreement with Rambus inc, the memory IP play. The company is targeting a Q1, 2002 launch date for Brookdale, its DDR-supporting Pentium 4 chipset, internal roadmaps reveal. In the meantime it is promoting the Pentium 4, Rambus chipset and all, with discounts and a massive $300 million worldwide advertising campaign
