Don: The beauty of propane is if you find you are running out too frequently you can add another tank .... and as a bonus you can check your thermometer via the tank pressure an a vapor pressure curve! Kept my eye on ours during one cold snap - wondering what happens when the VP drops to the point where the unregulated line to the house could not flow enough gas to supply the furnace. I just figured if the line couldn't carry it then I could use a bucket - OK, it wasn't quite THAT cold, but it did hit -36. Switched out the 500 gwc for a 1000 gwc a few years back. Personally I'd like to pick up something larger, but we have the ability to pre-buy via our supplier so I've no incentive right now. EZ
