<< The world can reach and maintain high standards of living with a population of as many as 15 billion. >>

If you are referring to the high standard of millions of children searching thru garbage dumps for food, as they do now, then you are correct.

Overpopulation is so much fun. Most ocean fish contain pollutants, such as from raw sewerage. This comes from millions of gallons of raw sewerage being dumped into the oceans on a daily basis. I wonder how much more could be dumped by 15 billion or more?

If you look around the world, the majority live below the poverty level. This will only get worse as populations skyrocket, creating more misery.

Overpopulation and it's misery are the breeding grounds for anarchy and war. As clean air and water and available food become more scarce, wars will become inevitable. If this is hard to believe, just look around the globe right now. It doesn't paint a pretty picture for the future.
