What you don't seem to understand is that the people that are shooting the asses off each other are going to be killing each other with or without guns. They are breaking too many laws already to list and are certainly not going to turn their guns in because you write a law.

How is taking lawfully owned guns away from law abiding citizens going to make the world a safer place? Does this automatically create an aura of instant sanity world wide?

You are truly clueless and it is sad.

in your opinion if our government passed a law and took away OUR second amendment..what would be the reason for this?

Rich:

'No matter, who did what, what matters is! If we all take up arms, then we all shoot each other, until people like you realize shooting is not the answer, then we will continually shoot the asses off each other!"

Well, Rich I am a realist. I know that if all people of good will give up their guns, the bad guys will have their way. By the way Rich there are a lot of guns in this country and the overwhelming majority of gun owners have never shot anyone. Most of the shootings involve drugs. If they were left out of the picture and we just considered guns in the hands of law abiding citizens, there is little to support your proposition that ownership of guns results in us all shooting each other.

That is probably the most preposterous thing I have read all week.

First of all, no law abiding decent citizen keeps a gun to kill people. He keeps a gun for sport, and/or to dissuade/prevent others from harming/killing him. Your false dilemma that if everyone had guns, everyone would go around shooting each other is asinine. Did you read my post with all the handy statistics? Or would that mean you would have to face the facts, which would be too painful?
