Don- Yes, it would be convenient if the Dow would cooperate along with the Naz, and tank simultaneously....then Uncle Al would feel much better about using another "put"..

However, given Greenspan's recognition (whether or not its just positioning- or he really believes it- who knows, but one, IMO, is better off taking him at his word here, than not, in this case)...anyway, Greenspan has very pointedly mentioned the "technological revolution" and its ties to producitivity, and productivity's leading the "new world"....well, AG KNOWS almost all of those companies reside on the Nasdaq.....and he knows that a 60% correction in less than a year (which is what we'll have if Naz hits 2000)....that that will have could serious consequences (short/long term) for the "theory", and its continued implementation.....we'll see....

(BTW- Had I not heard the December speech Greenspan gave, I might feel differently....but that speech was an unbelievable recognition of everything "new era" folks have been spouting for years....it sounded like Chambers gave that speech)...
