Well, for one, knowing "the answer" will be a tremendous time saver for those who spend the majority of their life looking for it. You seem to be somewhat familiar with the content of the four books in Douglas Adams' trilogy. Note for those of you who aren't: yes, there were FOUR books in his trilogy. If that sounds a wee bit unusual, then you've really gotta' read his books. Bob: since you are most likely familiar with the question, then you're acutely aware that "the answer" is all encompassing and can be used in all sorts of circumstances.
