I agree as they have huge mortgage and two car payments, plus everybody trying to keep up with joneses.God forbids, if one looses the job. I know, many people who have nothing to show for the last ten years. Some bulls keep on talking about new PC's but unless you are in 486 or you need for streaming videos, most of the people, do not need buy any more PC's. Its like cars, you can drive toyota corrolla or you can buy lexus.

I prefer to borrow money from myself than a bank; especially over the next few years while high return from the stock market are in question.

I don't currently have a loan on my 401K, but surely will go that route if I can't buy a house for cash (and given the state of the housing market, that is looking more likely). An asset is an asset no matter how you do the accounting gimmickry. I'm trying to take my sweet time choosing a house here, in the hopes that prices recede somewhat. By the way, the 6% commision on my lifes work is a real joke. If anyone has any advice on the FSBO method of home buying please PM me. I've been on many of the big name advertising sites, but there just aren't many available in my area. Typically cr@ppy condo stuff gets thrown up on those boards. I'm also running into a problem with poor databse updating by those services. Thanks for any help on this matter.
