Yup, we were talking about that in my digital communications class... my prof was constantly mocking Alcatel... it was too funny... Part of it too is the consumer... i mean, everyone wants the free stuff, and no one wants to really pay the true cost of it... it's like DSL.... not like a nike athletic shoe, where they can get some overseas sweatshop to make it cheap for you... the costs associated with serving up that DSL customer in urban say...
