Mr. ThrustMaster, is that yer missus' pet name fer ya?

Thanks dude!

I'll use them! I really appreciate it.
I really enjoy this friggin' simulator.
Last night I flew the New Cessna (RG i think?) a few feet from the Statue of Liberty's face and I gave her a big funny smile to help cheer her up.
Then I continued straight ahead and flew like a field goal kick right between the World Trade Center Twin Towers. I thought for sure that I would scrape the wings on one or the other building as I passed through.
Next I proceeded straight up 5th Avenue and buzzed by the Empire State Building and dove down to get a good look at Central Park. From there I headed south above the East River and flew underneath the 59 Street Bridge, the Manhattan Bridge, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Williamsburg Bridge. Way too cool. I thought I'd either hit the top of the plane on the bottom of the bridge or crash into the water.
Then it was a quick buzz through the Bronx to see if I could land in Yankee Stadium. Couldn't find it right away so I decided to buzz a few more bridges like the Triborough, the Whitestone, and the Throggs Neck Bridge.
I guess the thing that I find so cool is that I drive over most of these bridges on a regular basis.

I doubt I will ever buy a plane. I just like dreaming the dream. This simulator sure is a lot of fun.
Perhaps someday I'll get behind the stick of the real thing. I'd love to. But it looks like lessons would cost a small fortune.
How much time and money do you think is required before getting a pilot's license?
Last summer my family and I went to the Rhinebeck Aerodrome where each weekend they put on a WWI & WWII plane show in the air. It was really cool seeing all those vintage planes. I think next time I go I'll pay for a ride to see how it really is to fly. That seems like the cheapest way to get the real feeling with out all the high costs...

In regards to Dale Earnhardt, I saw the tape of the crash a few times. It didn't appear to be the horrific crash into the wall that I would have expected.
I saw a report saying that he decided not to race his son and best friend for the checkered flag. Instead, he was leaving for the two of them to battle for while he generously tried to block out the others. Therefore all the bumping from others near him.
Only a 1/2 mile left in the race.
Race fans liken it ot Michael Jordan or Mark McGuire getting killed.
The arguably best driver in history was lost yesterday.
