It's appeared for the past month that dollar intervention has been taken off the table. If the Japanese and the Europeans want to continue to do it, they're on their own.

These two don't appear to be mutually exclusive, he can certainly favor a strong dollar without favoring intervention... I really don't understand what all the dollar huplah is anyway, it's been ridiculously strong... it can go down 30% against the euro without anyone being able to claim it's "in the toilet". Sounds like a bunch of hand wringing to me.
