GV, allow me one more try. You are implying that the difference in pro forma 18¢ and net 12¢ earnings is a cost for which no value is received. Part of that 6¢ is cash received from investments. Acquired R&D in way of patents and intellectual property has value. Why dismiss these from PMS' calculation of Q-to-Q value added?

On the contrary contrary! If I owned the entire company, it would then be private, and I'd not be reporting earnings at all, beyond what was required by law.
