I worked for and got stock in GE and Ford. GE was from '68 to ''76; Ford from ''76 to '91. I also got into the DRIPs for these companies so the dividends compounded. Ford recently has been spinning off companies- -AFS which was bought by C and VC which is still independent. My original investments in these companies is up 20 to 40 times. And that's not taking account off stock that was sold for down payments on two houses.

Amazing.

So don't pick on GE, ya hear?
