Telecomguy, I agree 100% with your post. Several months ago, I posted that demand must be effective demand - that is, backed up by revenues. Yes, the carriers want bandwidth to transport data but they have not figured out how to charge for transporting data. The answer is unique and differentiated services for which the carriers and providers can charge a premium. Consumers and businesses will have to get used to paying for those services. Right now, everything is free.

Hi tg - NT is probably ok LT. Everyone is hurting. The industry will come back. Unfortunately, I was highly leveraged in NT, a double whammy. The question is, what kind of shape of NT recovery, V, U, or L. My guess is that the 2nd. I can't afford to have dead money in my battered portfolio. Therefore, I am likely to sell the rest of my NT tomorrow.

best, Bosco

3) Figure out how to price data intensive services (Internet, vpn, e-commerce, web-hosting etc.) to generate the NECESSARY
revenues to justify further expansion of capacity.

this means that metro/optics , access, class 4 & 5 switch substitution and above all great management platform will get the biggest attention form capex, this year.
