You are a great bear hunter. You leave your camp and walk due south for a mile. You turn left and walk due east for a mile. You kill a big bear. You turn left again and walk one mile back to your camp. What color is the bear?

The western most point is Amatignak Island, which is about 178 degrees West of Greenwich. The 180th Meridian goes between Semisopochnoi Island and Amatignak. Standing on the 180th facing north, everything on your left is east and everything on your right is west of Greenwich. Attu Island is about 173 degrees east of Greenwich Meridian.

I forgot to mention that Alaska (the Privilovs) has seven words for wind. I don't know if any other state can beat that either.

For geographers, I am referring to my AAA Atlas, which squishes Alaska into a fourth the space it devotes to Texas. At that scale, I am making no guarantees that my place names are exactly correct.
