all you need to do is look at my port and you will know what is going to get hit<g>.

I took the precaution of selling some March calls on a few of my positions on Friday. Wanted to wait until this week, but after Chambers started jawboning this weekend again, I am happy that I did it.

I only see 3-4 gorillas out there now, I think that they have been hit pretty hard. I would be looking for the high flyers...or.....biotechs for shorts..

Ah interesting idea for a thread.
As you probably know from all my rants and weepings I had a ton of money in Jan-April 00 and allowed it almost all to be dissapated. In fact by the summer I was so panic stricken I started trading and basically threw my money down the toilet.
Definitely should have sold most qcom and all qcom calls after a 156 point day: I sat down to do that, started it, and just "couldnt". After all it was a gorilla, right?
Waited until 50 to sell csco, until 80 to sell msft, all of course went much lower.
So the Gorilla Game is flawed indeed: a bear market is the time to be in cash, or dim covered calls, or shorting, not to sit idly by while all one's money is lost.
Now I know: stocks mean nothing: only when they are cashed into cash can they help your standard of living.

So is everyone sitting by now and waiting for the time it is "safe" to buy these (I guess) fine companies again?
Or looking for new leaders?
Or just drinking beer and thinking about a better time or a future time?
