Thanks for the thorough response Mike.

I understand and agree with all your thoughts and signs for making the bottom. Totally agree.

However what I was really after was your thoughts on whether that bottom is temporary or not. The fact that everyone keeps saying the slowdown is nearly over, without facts or statistics, makes me skeptical. John Chambers reinforced that unknown with his remarks over the weekend. Retail reports and guidance this week will be enlightening.

But, as you say, should panic selling appear it's probably a good time to buy whether the slowdown is in the early, mid, or late stages. The question of recovery timing can be mulled and debated later.

Asssuming we do get that V bottom, which stocks would you (or anyone - open question) see making the biggest bounce? The biggest losers so far? (ie. NT, JDSU, SCMR), or the more solid companies with lower PE's (INTC, DELL, MSFT)?
