James, Yeah!! I always heard that we should not drink the water either. The fruits and vegetables was just one example that I was warned about by a native.

I have eaten at a number of places in Acapulco, and Mexico City, and as long as it is cooked well, I never had a problem. In the days I frequented Mexico, I avoided the water and drank the booze. It took longer for that stuff to catch up with me. I'm paying for it now.
