Ted. Re..I see.....getting drunk, then driving drunk, then hitting another car or person is good clean fun for the kids. <<<<<<< That is your interpretation. Mine is that .08 doesn't impair driving nearly as much as you are trying to make everyone believe. Most of the accidents come from people who are .1 or above. I have no problem getting drunks off of the road. I have a problem defining down the word drunk to a point where anyone who goes out and has two drinks would be classified a drunk. Perhaps you have heard of prohibiton. Did that stop drinking? NOt at all. Did that make the streets safe with all of the gangsters shooting up the place. We have enforced a sort of prohibition by lowering the definition to .08 or .06. Fine, but has that really made your kids safe or has it just driven them out of the bars into the back alleys, and small apartments complete with drugs and sex. I would prefer my kids to be in bars, in the open, away from the drugs and sex. And please, there is nothing wrong with having a little fun once in awhile. You ought to try it. . How can you give the amusement of teenagers the same priority? <<<< Because those disgruntled teenagers who cannot have fun become murderous adults.
