That does seem like a useful bit of protection to have in one's arsenal. Thanks, I am now officially opening vbs with notepad. I do like the idea of having a peek inside before a script does something strange. Like the samples from windows scripting host as well...some pretty cool stuff.

This late in the evening, I'm a bit bleary-brained, but...

I changed the default action for .VBS files to be open in Notepad.

The action for .ZLO files is to open with ZoneAlarm Internet security, which I assume means ZoneAlarm will do something ( goodness knows exactly what ) with .VBS files that are mailed to you.

I don't expect ZoneAlarm to get involved with .VBS files that are already on your PC.

If I can find a .VBS file, I will mail it from one of my emails to antother and see what ZA does with it.
