i think the posted piece, Computer Viruses Often Just Annoy is probably as dangerous as the viruses it tends to downplay.

describing viruses as, "pretty much the pattern for what is, in most cases, the e-mail equivalent of the junior high school prank telephone call" serves no useful purpose, as far as i can see, and in fact, will only lull more folks into an even deeper state of avoidance on the subject of viruses.
