The more you believe that your fate is determined by luck, the less you will put into fighting fate and the worse your fate will be. Period. People have overcome incredible odds. Liberals love to blame individual outcomes on bad luck and use that as an excuse for government intervention. "It's not their fault" and "they couldn't help it" is the favorite excuse for this. By sending out a rescue boat when these people need to start swimming, you keep them from learning the CAN swim. The victims of your "help" become addicted to government aid.
