mingfatsai: Thanks for your observations. I remember '94 as a grinding down trend, with the indices holding up fairly well while the a/d and an overwhelming majority of stocks dropping steadily from the beginning of the year until the quiet bottom in the Fall. I can't imagine the Nasdaq doing the '94 thing from now to the Summer or Fall, otherwise, tech stocks could drop another 50%! And then the quarterly stochastic would drop to 5% or 1% as the monthlies have done! Just don't see it, but I do see another round of weakness in late March/early April after a technical rally...we shall see (i agree that some small caps have had some relative strength, but extra risky)
