I was a liberal until I began to care about the lack of progress that the democrat party was making in solving our social ills. An indifferent conservative will do more for the poor than the power hungry pols who run the democrat party.

I agree that's bad. Nobody wants to do that to any child. I don't know where you get the idea that liberals want to give children bad education, neglect and the blame game. There are some people out there that might think that some programs and people have that affect on some, but I don't think there is a calculated purpose to achieve something negative. That's why I said that it's difficult and even dangerous to intervene in someone else's problem. I think that people want to help and that's good.....but they want to help in their own way and that's bad. Both sides are guilty of that same thing.
