Until they do. In the manufacturing town to the south of me there was a 25% increase in food pantry assistance from Dec. to Jan. and a 15% increase in the number of people seeking lodging in homeless shelters for the past 12 mos. Local tertiary businesses are going belly up on a monthly basis. Those who have found re-employment have not found "family supporting" jobs. "If everyone just goes out and buys an SUV..." my ass.
