Yep thats a way to play it, imo.

I look to get a few of them running when times are good and keep a core position and a trading position too. Obviously right now having even a core position is not the way to go. On the other hand, it might be time to start building one here on some of the very beaten up ones that are now down to value type plays.

Shorting the issues (the phat high growth, pump job ratio deals) and then buying QQQ for the up swings has been my MO lately. My theory is, you wont' wake up in the AM and see the QQQ blow up 25 or 30% overnight, while many issues have continued to follow this pattern.
