Although the immense size of NT's warning just 48 hours after giving a large block of stock to JDSU is bound to raise eyebrows and hackles, JDSU is in a difficult spot to attack aggressively as NT is a 10%+ customer. Also, a recission is difficult in that JDSU was compelled to sell its Zurich plant to NT as a concession to the DOJ for approval of the SDLI merger. What happens if the sale is undone? Must JDSU then sell the plant to someone else or risk having its merger undone (or is that even possible)? Not too many buyers left--perhaps Corning. Now everybody's FO stock is in the toilet, and perhaps the plant is viewed as less valuable in the wake of the NT news anyway. It will be interesting to watch this one develop...
